Weekend

These boys are changing so fast right before my eyes. They are talking a ton, wrestling, laughing at each other, beating each other up, and giving us a run for our money. They are exhausting but so much fun :)

Open, close, open..empty

The joys of emptying drawers.
At least he thinks it's fun to put everything back!

Cruisin'

Auntie Koni bought Hunter a car for his birthday. It's designed to also be a walker, but Hunter never seemed interested - until now! He is very proud of himself when he walks around the house with his car, it's cute to watch. Proud of my boy, I wasn't sure when he was going to show an interest in walking!
And then he found the baby swing, yikes.

Gym Class

Gym class was so fun! Hunter loved the ropes course and even climbed through a tunnel. We are thinking about getting a membership since there are classes on Sat & Sun we could attend (plus open gym afterwards).
I noticed Hunter is becoming more comfortable standing by himself and I think a class like this will give him more confidence!

Twelve Month Wellness Check

Today Hunter had his one year wellness check. He is right on track developmentally and the doctor said he was perfect.

Weight: 20lbs
Length: 30in
He is in the 20th percentile for weight and 60th percentile for height. The doctor made it clear that it is normal for babies to peak in weight at nine months and drop off at one year, due to an increase in activity. I think at his nine month check up he was 21lbs. Hard to believe since he eats so much! Other than that he had a couple of shots, both of which he took like a champ.
Our pediatrician said she is happy to see that he can say five words (dada, mama, dog, hola, and uh oh) and that she doesnt expect to see that until closer to 15 months. By his next wellness check (15 months) he should likely be walking and saying a few more words. All in all it was a great visit and we are grateful to have a healthy and happy kid :)
