Picnic in January

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and walked to a nearby park for a picnic. Cooper got to play frisbee, Hunter sunned his buns, and Robert and I ate sandwiches and caught up with each other. Between grad school, a six month old baby, and a 10 month old puppy, we don't get many afternoons like this!

New Whip

Hunter has been eating solids for a couple of weeks now so we bit the bullet and got him the OXO Sprout High chair. We wanted something that looked nice since it will likely be a piece of furniture in our house for a long time. I like how simple the design is and the colors are very neutral. He looks so old sitting in it!

Solids!

This week we started Hunter on solids. The first night I used up a jar of sweet potato leftover from my baby shower and he looooved it. I got his first bites on video, which is hilarious. Then we moved onto peas, since that was all I had in the house and he loved those too. I have a feeling he isn't going to be a picky eater :)

Oh, and we finally ordered a high chair that should be arriving next week. No more TV dinners on the couch ;)

Core Strength

We have a sitter! Now that he can sit AND hold his bottle, he is making life a little easier on us :)

Five Months

Hunter turned five months old yesterday! He continues to be a fun baby and his personality comes out more and more every day. He loves Cooper and started petting him and tracking him - it's really cute. I am not sure how much he weighs or how tall he is, but we will find out at his six month wellness appointment in a few weeks.
Likes: chewing on everything, his exersaucer, squawking, kisses on his stomach (he cracks up!), standing up, looking at himself in the mirror, and rolling over during diaper changes.
Dislikes: being hungry, sitting
I don't have another child to compare him to, but I feel like Hunter is a pretty easy baby. As long as he is fed and not overly tired, he is fun! He sleeps in his car seat which makes stroller walks and car rides easy. He doesn't fuss a lot and seems to play well by himself when we need to get stuff done around the house - not sure how long this will last, but we feel lucky.
I started packing away his newborn-3 month clothes and I can't believe he was that small. Everything is so tiny - it's hard to remember him fitting into all that stuff :(
