Adventures in potty training

We are officially potty training...dun, dun, dun.
We introduced the potty in August (very casually), but we weren't really consistent until the last couple of weeks. It's hard because Hunter is at daycare the majority of the time, and while she works with him on the potty, he doesn't go diaper free 100% (which I believe is the fastest way to train). On the weekends he is diaper free most of the time, minus naps and car rides.
He is doing really well! We are using a small treat for every time he goes and so far we have only had two accidents.
I was dreading this process so bad, but it turns out it has not been too horrible yet.

Cal Ave Trick or Treating 2015

Last minute decision turned out to be a fun day downtown. We took the boys down to the Cal Ave Trick or Treating where the city shuts down a street and the businesses are open for trick or treating. It is free and it is a fun way to get the community together. We did this year here (see here) with Hunter when he was 14 months old and it wasn't nearly as busy as it was this year! I could hardly get the stroller through the crowd.
Afterwards we walked a block up to Farmer's Market and got juicing supplies for the week. Happy weekend!
PS: it is impossible to get a good picture of the boys these days!
They are so wiggly and distracted I had to bribe
Hunter with candy to look at the camera, hah!

Lucky Number 7

Happy 7th weddding anniversary Robert! And happy 10 years together :)
Time is flying by with all that we are juggling right now and I wouldn't want to be living life with anyone else.
Thank you for being such a wonderful husband and a good example to our boys.
We celebrated by getting a babysitter and having dinner at Lure & Till and then drinks at Nola's. Was fun to get out without the kids and have a little fun!

Columbus Day

For Columbus Day I took the day off of work and stayed home with the boys. Since they are now roomates, our morning started off a little earlier than usual so we headed out to Target for some retail therapy! Wyatt is super interactive now and it's fun to watch him play with all of Hunter's toys. Love these two <3

Roomates

These two friends moved in together!

Our first night went great - 7pm bedtime and by 7:40pm they were passed out. It was so cute to listen to them giggling and jumping (Hunter) and rolling (Wyatt) around with excitement on the video monitor.
I know not every night will be as smooth, but I am so excited to have both boys sleeping through the night and I am so excited to have my closet back.

8 Months, 2 Days

I got videos of the boys crawling in the same outfit and at the same age - 8 months and 2 days.
Wyatt is a little plumper, but how cute are they?
The top video is Hunter and the bottom video is Wyatt.

Pumpkin Patch 2015

Tis the season for some pumpkin picking! We took the boys to our favorite Webb Ranch to pick out a pumpkin, play in the petting zoo, and admire the bounce houses (Hunter is still too young). Hunter loved petting the bunnies and feeding the alpacas (one sneezed on me). It was much hotter than last year, but we had a blast.

Eight Months Old - Wyatt

Yesterday Wyatt turned eight months old! I can hardly believe it. He is so interactive, babbling up a storm, and starting to take an interest in whatever Hunter is up to.
Likes: eating, crawling, rolling, jumping in the Johnny Jumper, his pacifier.
Dislikes: being hungry, being in one spot for too long.
Weight: heavy
Milestones: crawling! He and Hunter met this milestone to the day - it's pretty neat to compare them, as so far they have met milestones at the same exact time.
Wyatt did not care too much for purees, so I started feeding him whatever Hunter was eating and it is going great. I am amazed at how much food he can pack down (last night he had avocado toast, strawberries, bananas, black beans, and broccoli). It's really nice that I only have to prepare one meal for both of them and that I don't have to spoon feed him - frees up my hands so I can cook dinner for Robert and me. Also today both boys ate PB&J's, crackers, and fruit for lunch..so easy.
In the mornings Wyatt babbles a ton: gagaga, babababa, dadadada, etc.
Lastly, he is sleeping through the night pretty consistently - whoohoo! He was still waking up around 3am for the longest time, but now he usually makes it until 6ish. Sometimes he will wake and I will pop his paci in his mouth and he is back to sleep. This kid lovvvves his pacifier.
I can't believe he is on his way to ONE :( Time is going too fast.
