Sunday with the O's

Lucky us we got to spend Sunday morning with Oma and Opa! We had breakfast at Mayfield and then headed to the shopping center to walk around. Opa and Berto got distracted at the Tesla showroom and had fun checking out the shiny cars.
It was so good to see you Oma and Opa - thank you for the visit! Can't believe it's been almost four months since we last saw you! It was fun to catch up.
The boys had so much fun they immediately passed out 💤

Matchy-matchy

These boys make me want more boys - they are so fun! I never thought I would be the matchy-matchy mom, but it is too cute and I can't resist dressing them like twins.

I love them and love watching them grow together.

Seattle

We haven't taken this many pictures of ourselves since Hunter was born!
Robert surprised me with a trip to Seattle to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. He arranged for Gramie and Pop Pop to watch the kids and it was our first time away from both of them.

I didn't have time to think about the trip until literally the morning of, so I didn't realize how anxious I was to be leaving them! I definitely was not worried about them because I knew they were safe and in great hands, but driving to to airport I started to feel sick and anxious. After a few hours in Seattle and a good report from the grandparents we started to relax and enjoy the kid-free life.

We stayed at the Inn at the Market, which was smack dab in the middle of Pike Place - amazing. The first night we had drinks at The Pink Door and then headed over to Wild Ginger for a yummy Asian fusion dinner. We went back to our hotel after and immediately fell asleep, ahhhhh.

The second day we were up early (thank you natural wake up time) and checked out Pikes Place, the first ever Starbucks, The Space Needle, did some shopping downtown (got some boots at Nordy's), lunch at Artisan Cafe, spent the afternoon exploring the market, then packed a little wine in my bag and experienced the wheel at sunset :) We had dinner at Japonessa and walked the streets enjoying the fresh air. Again, hit the pillows early for a lovely night of sleep.

On Saturday we walked everywhere and soaked in our last day. We found a delicatessen that has all sorts of specialty beers and Robert was in heaven. We ordered some fancy sandwiches, bought a couple of beers, and ate lunch at the delicatessen. It was raining and it was fun to people watch (Saturdays are busy down there).

All in all it was so nice to recharge with Robert without the crazy distractions of work and kids. Thank you Gramie and Pop Pop for taking care of our household - we appreciate it and know the boys had a blast.

Halloween is so fun when your kid knows what to do! Hunter loved knocking on the doors and picking out (one) piece of candy for his bucket. Menlo Park is an amazing place to trick or treat and we had a blast! We got way too many full sized candy bars (Toberlone?!) and every house went all out with the entertainment. We had dinner with the Taylor's and headed after afterwards with the kids.
It really does get more fun the older they get!

Lately

Nine Months Old - Wyatt

Our Wywy is 9 months old! This past month has been different.
We moved Wyatt into Hunter's room a few weeks ago and it was going really well, however, for the past week Wyatt has been struggling around 4am. I keep telling myself he is teething, but it's getting to the point where I think he may be sleep regressing. Usually I wait these things out and after 3-4 days it passes, but after a week and a half I am getting exhausted and frustrated.
Hunter has slept through the crying since we merged rooms, but last night he was chatting in his crib from 1:45am-5:30am (we got him up for good). I felt so bad that Hunter woke up, so tonight we put Wywy back in the man cave. I think Wyatt is teething, so if we can pop that tooth, re-sleep train through the night, and then move him back into Hunter's room we will be ok.
Wyatt is crawling everywhere, demands to feed himself (don't take away his spoon!), loves his toy shovel, he is testing out his pipes (that boy can SCREAM), eating everything, and is very grabby. Overall he is demanding! Way different from Hunter. At the same time, when he laughs and smiles, he is so sweet and loving.
We have his wellness check on Thursday morning and I will know his length and weight - I do know he is huge and weighs way more than Hunter did at 12 months, haha.
Pop that tooth Wywy!
