Spring Cleaning, Straw Cups, and Ice Cream

This weekend was full. We did a huge spring (summer) clean-out and donated bags of stuff to Goodwill, bought a new tv/entertainment stand from IKEA for the family room, shopped at Nordy's, Costco, Target, etc. Hunter loves riding in the cart while shopping and even got a little gutsy at Target by riding backwards - yikes.
Lastly, we packed up Hunter's bottles and he is exclusively drinking from his Zoli Bot straw cup that we introduced at six months. We won't miss the bottle washing, that's for sure!

Cat vs Dog

Learning that playing with Kenya is different than playing with Cooper! We are working on "gentle" with Hunter and so far Kenya has been very patient.

Mornings with Hunter

One of my favorite times of the day.

Superhero Hunter

Superhero Hunter is moving at lightening speed these days. He started standing unassisted for a few seconds at a time which is fun to watch. His confidence seems to be growing the more he explores and before we know it he will be walking, yikes.

Father's Day 2014

Happy 1st Father's Day to Robert! You are amazing with Hunter and he is a lucky kid to have you as his dad. Thank you for everything you do for our family.
This weekend we went hiking, had a picnic, swam in the pool, ordered pizza, took long walks and treated ourselves to Starbucks. A nice weekend, indeed!

Cone Head

Ten Months (what!)

Double digits! Happy ten months, Hunter! I keep saying this, but he just gets more fun - which I didn't think was possible. He is getting into everything, crawling everywhere, babbling a ton, and giving me kisses (finally). He says "uh oh", "na na", "ga ga", "bye" and lots of other "words" we can't understand.
Hunter is thriving at daycare and loves being there. His daycare provider always mentions how happy he is and what an excellent eater he is (not surprising, but nice to hear).
We think he weighs about 20.5lbs. Robert weighed himself, then weighed again while holding Hunter, so it may not be exact. He is wearing soft-soled Robeez shoes to get his feet used to wearing something. At first he didn't really know what to think, but he is fine wearing them now.
As far as food is concerned he eats what we eat and doesn't object to anything yet. I am sure as he gets into toddlerhood he will be more selective, but for now he loves his food.
Sleeping is great - he still naps twice a day and sleeps through the night about half the time. Sometimes he will still wake up once, which we are fine with. He is only little once and I can tell he is growing out of it.
We love you Hunter and are so thankful for you.
