Size: Weighs almost 2lbs (like a head of cauliflower)
Maternity clothes? I need them! I pretty much outgrew my white maternity skinnies (sad) and need to buy some essentials so I can get through the last few months. I never know what to buy when I go shopping because my body is changing, but I need to bite the bullet and just get some stuff.
One of our views in Cabo - beautiful! |
Sleep: For the most part it's really good. I had a bad (early) morning on Tuesday and was up from 1:30am until it was time to go to work. I was having a lot of pain in addition to Braxton Hicks which was unsettling.
Best moment this week: Being on vacation and finalizing flight plans for our little furry guy.
Almost five weeks old |
Miss anything? In Cabo I was craving a margarita :)
Movement: He is a crazy baby in there. I think he might be transverse because I am feeling him on both sides of my belly. He is taking up more room now and I am feeling movement a lot higher than I was before.
Food cravings: Quinoa, eggs, apples, frozen yogurt
Anything making you queasy or sick: No
Have you started to show yet: Yep
Labor signs: No - although on Monday night I really wasn't sure!
Belly Button in or out? Innie-flatty
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: A lot - it seems we have something planned for pretty much every weekend until the baby comes - yikes. In the meantime, I am looking forward to our next OB appointment (I want to know baby's position), a wedding, and my baby shower! In between all of the fun, I am looking forward to finishing the nursery and sleeping as much as possible :)
Baby A, weighs about the size of a head of cauliflower |
What's the baby up to?
- The fetus weighs almost 2 pounds now and is about 14.5 inches long.
- The head is over 2.5 inches in diameter.
- Your baby's hearing continues to develop.
- The eyes can blink, open and close.
The retina at the back of your baby's eyes is beginning to develop. Those beautiful baby eyes can open now, and the baby will notice and may turn his or her head if you shine a flashlight against your belly.
At 27 weeks, your baby's length will have tripled or quadrupled from the 14 week mark. If your baby is born this week, the chances of survival is now at least 80 percent.
Baby A is coming along! Enjoy the ride :) You look gorgeous, Anna!
